Welcome To LG
LG Electronics USA Commercial Air Conditioning business is a leading player in the global air conditioning market, manufacturing both commercial and residential air conditioners and providing total sustainability and building management solutions. From consumer units to commercial air conditioning systems, LG provides a wide range of innovative products for heating, ventilating and air conditioning.

How To Choose A Room Air Conditioner
Compared to large capacity central units, room air conditioners have several advantages. The initial cost of a room air conditioning unit is significantly lower than the cost of central air. Because room air conditioners are designed for cooling small spaces, operating costs are reduced. And, room air conditioners can provide personalized temperature and humidity controls that central systems cannot.

Calculating Cooling Capacity
Cooling capacity is the critical factor in properly selecting a room air conditioner. Cooling capacity is measured in British Thermal Units (BTUs) and typical models will range in capacity from 5,000 BTUs to 28,500 BTUs.

Choosing an undersized unit will overwork the unit and it will not cool properly. Choosing an over-sized unit will cost more to buy and operate and it will not dehumidify properly.

We can help you to calculate capacity. Be prepared to provide specific information on:
Room Dimensions
A simple floor plan to show the location of doors and north-facing windows
The number of people it will serve
Sources of heat such as lamps, TV and appliances
An explanation of what's above the intended room
Your insulation provisions
Cooling Capacity by Room Size
Measure the length and width of the area to be cooled. Multiply the length by the width to determine square footage or square meters. Locate the room size in the chart below to select the appropriate BTUs. Then use the product information to select the unit for your room. When cooling rooms with uninsulated ceilings, great rooms, or southern or western sun exposures - step up to the next BTU size.

Air Conditioner Tips
Air flow - Keep air filters clean. Do not block air flow areas.

Roomside view - J-models feature concealed power cord storage, this eliminates excessive cord exposure when receptacle is located close to unit.

Wall Opening For RAB46/47/48 Cases
A finished opening of 26 1/8" x 15 3/4", clear of intrusions, is required. Keep clearance of 4" from side walls. Brick veneer or frame walls should have wood studding surrounding case to provide firm anchoring with screws. Case can be fastened directly to brick or block walls with screws sunk in lead expansion shields. NOTE: units should be caulked on all four sides of case to the building exterior to assure building integrity.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for your replacement part needs

Where can I find genuine replacement parts for my LG air conditioner?

Finding genuine replacement parts for your LG air conditioner is easy at GenuineReplacementParts.com. We specialize in OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts, ensuring that all components are made to fit your unit perfectly and maintain its efficiency. Whether you need compressors, fan motors, evaporator coils, or filters, we carry OEM parts for all major LG air conditioner models.

To start
simply enter your model number (e.g.
LP1419IVSM) or part number (e.g.
EAY62152802 for a fan motor) into our search bar. Our compatibility tool will help you find the exact match
and our fast shipping ensures you get your parts quickly. If you need assistance
our customer support team is ready to help guide you in selecting the correct parts.

What are the most common components that need replacing in split air conditioning units?

Split air conditioners are composed of several key components that may need replacing over time. The most common parts that fail in these units include:

Compressor: The compressor is responsible for circulating refrigerant through the air conditioning system. If the compressor fails
your unit will stop cooling properly. For example
the LG Compressor Part #: 4681A20042A is commonly used in many LG models.
Fan Motors: The fan motors circulate cool air in your home. If the fan stops working
airflow will be reduced
leading to poor cooling performance. We carry OEM fan motors like LG Fan Motor Part #: EAY62152802.
Evaporator Coils: These coils are responsible for absorbing heat from the air. If the evaporator coil is damaged or frozen
it can significantly impact cooling efficiency. A replacement LG Evaporator Coil Part #: 5301W1A002 is available.
Thermostat: The thermostat helps regulate the temperature inside your air conditioner. If the thermostat is malfunctioning
it can cause your unit to run continuously or shut off too early. We offer OEM thermostats like LG Thermostat Part #: 5921A00023D.

If you’re experiencing issues with cooling, it’s likely one of these components needs to be replaced.

How do I identify the model number to order the correct AC parts?

Identifying your LG air conditioner model number is crucial to finding the correct replacement parts. Here’s how you can locate it:

Inside the unit: Open the front panel of your air conditioner or look on the side or back for a label that includes the model number.
User manual: If you have the user manual
it will list the model number.
On the original packaging: If you still have the product box
the model number is typically printed on it.
On the product itself: Some models may have the model number inside the filter compartment or near the air intake.

Once you have the model number (e.g., LP1419IVSM), you can easily use our search bar to find the correct parts or use the compatibility tool to ensure the parts are a perfect match.

Can I buy a microwave door latch compatible with popular brands from local stores?

Yes, it’s possible to find microwave door latches compatible with many popular brands, including LG. However, for guaranteed fit and reliability, we recommend buying from trusted online sources like GenuineReplacementParts.com, where you can be assured of getting OEM parts specifically designed for your LG air conditioner model. Local stores may offer generic parts, but they might not fit as perfectly or last as long as genuine parts.

For example
we offer LG Door Latch Part #: 5311DD3001G for various LG air conditioner models. If you're unsure which part is best
you can always reach out to our customer service team
who will help you find the perfect match.

How to replace a microwave magnetron safely at home?

Replacing the magnetron in your LG air conditioner (or any other appliance) requires careful attention due to the high-voltage nature of the part. Here’s a safe way to do it:

Unplug the unit: Always ensure that your air conditioner is completely disconnected from the power source before starting any repairs.
Locate the magnetron: The magnetron is typically housed near the condenser or evaporator coils.
Remove the old magnetron: Depending on the model
you may need to remove screws or panels. Be sure to note the position of any wires.
Install the new magnetron: Once removed
replace the faulty magnetron with a new OEM magnetron like LG Magnetron Part #: WB27X10924.
Test the unit: After installation
reconnect the unit and test it to ensure it’s functioning properly.

If you are not comfortable with handling high-voltage components, we recommend consulting a certified technician for a professional replacement.

What warranty options are available when purchasing microwave parts from authorized dealers?

When purchasing OEM parts for your LG air conditioner from authorized dealers like GenuineReplacementParts.com, the parts come with manufacturer-backed warranties. These warranties generally cover defects in materials and workmanship for 1 year or more, depending on the part.

For example
the LG Compressor Part #: 4681A20042A comes with an official LG warranty
ensuring that if the part is defective within the warranty period
it will be replaced or repaired at no additional cost to you.
Keep your receipt and purchase documentation to register the part for warranty coverage. For more details
feel free to contact our customer service team.

Where can I download user manuals for popular microwave models to find part numbers?

User manuals are often the best way to find part numbers for your LG air conditioner. You can download LG user manuals directly from the LG official website or GenuineReplacementParts.com. The manual will not only provide you with the part numbers but also give installation instructions, troubleshooting tips, and other important information.

For example
for the LG air conditioner model LP1419IVSM
the manual can help you find model-specific part numbers for fan motors
compressors
and filters. If you need further assistance
feel free to ask our customer support team
and they’ll help you navigate the manual and find the correct parts.

Is it better to purchase an OEM or aftermarket microwave control board?

It’s always better to buy OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts for your LG air conditioner, including the control board, as these parts are specifically designed to work with your appliance and meet the manufacturer’s high standards for performance and longevity. Aftermarket parts may be cheaper, but they can result in compatibility issues, shorter lifespans, or even damage to the appliance.

For instance
OEM control boards like LG Control Board Part #: EBR75812401 are built to ensure your LG air conditioner operates efficiently
while aftermarket boards may not deliver the same results. When it comes to essential parts like the control board
investing in OEM parts guarantees optimal performance and peace of mind.
